How can I convince a Certified Scrum Trainer to let me be a co-trainer with him/her?

Updated: Jan 13, 2023

As a prospective Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) candidate, I wanted to know how I may convince a Certified Scrum Trainer to let me be a co-trainer with him/her so that I could learn and fulfill the pre-requisite to becoming a CST.

The conclusive solution to the problem statement we got:

1. Find a common interest, Offer them help or just find simple ways to help, Empathise.

2. Connect with them on LinkedIn and message them about your interest.

3. Explain your journey so far, explain your desired destination, explain how you would like them to help, and find a way to communicate it.

4. Use evidence or an example of the value you have seen them provide that made you feel like they could make a positive effort on you.

How did we come up with the above conclusion?

As a Facilitator, I want a group to find different ways of doing a task so they can know what options exist and which is the best. The facilitator @Tobias Mayer asked every one of us to stand in a circle. Some of the cards (Pieces of paper) and pens were provided in the.

Below are the steps that were performed as per the instructions:

1. Everyone picks up a card and pen.

2. Take 5 minutes to write down the way the problem in hand can be solved.

3. When the music starts start exchanging cards with each other.

4. When the music stops read the solution on the card and rate the solution from 1 to 5 (5 being most applicable).

5. Repeat step 4 for 5 times.

6. Now we have 5 weight no on the back of each card, add them up.

Now the facilitator asked them to stand in a circle and the people who had scores of 21-25 on the back of the card to read out the solution proposed.

The solution was discussed for 5-10 minutes and checked if most of the people agree with the same. Similarly, the solution on cards with scores of 15-20 was discussed.

Below are the solutions and scores that we got for the problem that was in hand as mentioned above.

Observations

It was observed that the solution explained in detail got a better score. There were a few duplicates but they got different scores based on the people who scored them and the choice of words.
